I am based in Ballarat and I also regularly travel to Canberra, Merimbula and Hobart, if you are looking for a Celebrant in or around one of these locations please feel free to give me a call or drop me an email. Below is some general information about parks and gardens in these locations.
Ballarat: Outdoor Wedding Venues Free of Charge: Ballarat has some beautiful parks and gardens, some of these are available to utilise for your wedding ceremony at no charge:
The Wallace Hotel, 741 Bungaree-Wallace Road, Wallace Vic 3352. This is a fantastic venue for your ceremony and reception, the atmosphere is warm and magical.
Ballaratprimavera, Daylesford Road, Brown Hill 3350. If you are looking to hire a venue for a small intimate wedding Ballaratprimavera is perfect. Imagine getting married in a sitting room, wall to wall glass windows overlooking the gardens and the internal courtyard, the enclosed Cheminees Phillippe fireplace glowing, 15 - 20 guests, fine champagne and a divine afternoon tea. The space is amazing and there are lots of possibilities. The luxurious accommodation would also be perfect for the bride and bridesmaids to stay together the evening before, getting ready on the day of the ceremony and photos etc.
Canberra: Outdoor Wedding Venues: There are lots of amazing outdoor venues available in Canberra. The National Capital Authority (NCA) manages bookings for public spaces including venues such as Old Parliament House Gardens and the Carillion at Aspen Island. Many venues book out early, so book as soon as you can. This is the link to the list of NCA venues, the site also provides information about how to book and the associated fees and charges:
There are also other areas which are managed by the ACT Government including
Merimbula & the Sapphire Coast: If you are considering holding your wedding ceremony on a beach, park or reserve in this region, contact the Bega Shire Council to obtain information regarding permits.
