Ballarat: Ballarat has some beautiful parks and gardens. Kirks and Moorabool Reservoir Parks both have landscaped grounds which are available to utilise free of charge. This is a link to information about booking. It is very important that you do this well in advance.

Canberra: There are lots of amazing outdoor venues available in Canberra. The National Capital Authority (NCA) manages bookings for public spaces including venues such as Old Parliament House Gardens and the Carillion at Aspen Island. Merimbula & the Sapphire Coast: If you are considering holding your wedding ceremony on a beach, park or reserve in this region, contact the Bega Shire Council to obtain information regarding permits.
Proof of Marriage: On your wedding day, your marriage celebrant will give you a commemorative marriage certificate. Please note that the document that you need for official purposes as proof of your marriage is a standard marriage certificate. Your celebrant is required by law to register your marriage with the relevant state or territory births, deaths and marriages office within 14 days following your ceremony.
Once your marriage is registered you can apply for a standard marriage certificate.
